In memory of Paul William Walker IV, 1973-2013

About seven years ago, almost to the date, I wrote a post for Santa. I asked Santa to bring me Paul William Walker, a man I've had a serious crush on for longer than I can even remember. Possibly since the first time I saw his gorgeous face on the big screen in Varsity Blues. I have seen all his movies, even the ones he barely appears in, and it brings forth enormous fluttering butterflies every single time I lay my eyes on him or even hear his voice. It's been like that forever.

Instagram: RIP Paul Walker

I can't even explain it, I know it sounds ridiculous, but when I saw the headlines early Sunday morning and realized he had passed away in a tragic car accident, my heart just stopped. Then it broke into a million pieces. Right there. I didn't know what to say, or how to react - it just felt like my world came crashing down. Even as I'm writing this, my tears are uncontrollably running down my face, and my heart and thoughts goes out to his daughter, family and friends - and the family of Roger Rodas, who also lost his life in this tragic accident.

Rest in peace, Paul
You'll always be remembered
09/12/1973 - 11/30/2013

You know, I'm not delirious in any way. I didn't even know him, and I would surely never have gotten the chance meet him either, but for some odd reason he touched me. And the thought of never seeing him again is devastating. I feel like a complete idiot for writing these words, I really do, but.. reacting like this is frustrating. I don't know, he just seemed so sweet, loving and kind - and in my heart I know he was. I know I'll miss him. I already do. It feels like losing a dear old friend.

Reach Out Worldwide

In Paul's memory I want to share the link to his charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), as his family ask his fans to keep his memory alive through ROWW. The organization was founded with Paul's genuine desire to help others, and donations can easily be made through their website at http://www.ROWW.org/.
