Popcorn Indiana®: Popcorn, Popcorn, Popcorn!

Popcorn Indiana®It happens very rarely, but once in a while I get a notice from Mr. Postman telling me that I've got a package waiting at the local post office, from a sender I don't recognize. And that is exactly what happened today. I found a notice about a package from "BK, US" in my mailbox, no more info, and I couldn't figure out what it could be. I'm usually in full control of what I'm expecting in the mail, but this one was a mystery to me. It had a tracking number, so I went online to see if it listed a sender, but all I could find was that it had been shipped on June 11th. My calendar didn't say anything about having ordered anything around that day, so I remained puzzled. Then I suddenly remembered.. my dad had told me that one of my American cousins, sweet Kate, had told my mom that she had shipped a package for me, and the initials suddenly made complete sense! So I sent Øyvind to pick it up, ripped it open, and found another six bags of Popcorn Indiana® in the flavours: Original Kettle Corn, Smoked Cheddar Cheese Kettle Corn and Aged White Cheddar Kettle Corn - all jumbo bags! That's another 1.7 kilos of the best popcorn there is, I think I died and went to popcorn heaven. I am truly forever grateful, and I hope this will last me a good while!

Popcorn Indiana® Gourmet Kettlecorn Cinnamon Sugar

Popcorn Indiana®Mr. UPS woke me up before 9:00 AM by sending an SMS telling me that my shipment from Popcorn Indiana® had arrived in Trondheim and was ready for delivery. I texted him back instantly, told him to come some time after 1:00 PM, and a little before 2:00 PM he rang the doorbell. The box he left me was HUGE, I mean.. I was expecting popcorn, and I consider popcorn to be small and light. Well, the box was huge. When I opened it I found five, and once again HUGE compared to what I'm used to, bags of Popcorn Indiana® Gourmet Kettlecorn Cinnamon Sugar of 283 grams each! That's almost 1.5 kilos of popcorn, and we all know that popcorn doesn't really weigh anything. That's truly a lot of popcorn! My initial thought was to start my day with a solid popcorn "breakfast", but on a second thought I decided to wait until tonight - I'm gonna pull out a good movie, maybe "Moulin Rogue", sit down and really enjoy my goodies!

I'm so proud to say that I'm the very first person in Norway with a bag of Popcorn Indiana® Gourmet Kettlecorn Cinnamon Sugar between my hands, and it's so cool to have a product that hasn't even been released in the country yet, before anyone else. I'd like to find out where they sell Popcorn Indiana® in Norway, so if anyone out there has seen this brand, please leave me a comments.

Popcorn Indiana®

There's lots and lots of things going on in my life at the moment, and unfortunately I can't share even half of it yet. I will spill my beans soon, I promise! Yesterday was one of the most awesome, but at the same time one of the saddest days I've had in a long time. For the awesome part I'll tell you that we sold the Volvo 960, we rented out our parking space (since it's too small to fit our Chrysler Grand Voyager), and I got an e-mail which made me extremely happy. If I could have I would have danced and skipped around the apartment all night, just because.

Popcorn Indiana®Now, the awesomeness didn't stop there. I also got the sweetest tweet ever from a company in the US called Popcorn Indiana®. It was actually a pure coincidence that I discovered this brand, as I never ever buy bagged popcorn, but I found one single bag of Indiana Popcorn® Aged White Cheddar Kettle Corn at Ultra and decided to try it out. I'm a sucker for trying new kinds of snacks, and my god.. I absolutely loved it! It was fresh, crispy and sooo delicious. I went back looking for more without having any luck, so I started looking online. What else was there to do? I found that Popcorn Indiana® actually has an online store, but as many other US companies they don't offer international shipping. By coincident (again) I discovered that they also had a Twitter account, and an ongoing contest to reveal the 2010 Final Four Flavors Champion. I cast my vote for Aged White Cheddar, since it's the only flavor I've had the pleasure of tasting, but sadly it lost to Kettle Corn which was ultimately crowned champion. I started twittering with Popcorn Indiana®, which is one of the few brands on Twitter which actually replies to messages from their fans, and they told me about this new flavor called Cinnamon Sugar. Call me crazy, but seeing that I love everything cinnamon-ey it sounded extremely mouthwatering to me! Sadly it's not yet available on their website, so I asked them how I could get my paws on the goodness. They quickly tweeted me back, informing me that Cinnamon Sugar would possibly be available in Norway some time this summer, and that they had more awesome news for me - this is the message I received: "Since you've QUICKLY become one of our favorite Twitter friends we're going to get you some Cinnamon Sugar EARLY. Check your DMs!".

This is by far the nicest thing any company has ever done for me! I'm so grateful and honored that they would do such a thing for an ordinary girl living in a far, far away little country called Norway. I'll keep you posted, I promise you there will be pictures and a thorough review shortly after arrival.

It's not my place to talk about the sadness of yesterday, but my heart goes out to you.
My deepest condolences. I'm so, so sorry. Heart
