Christian Dior Gaucho Saddle Bag

Screenshot: TwitterI received another item in my DHL shipment which I didn't mention yesterday: a leather handbag. An absolutely gorgeous Christian Dior Gaucho Saddle Bag. No, I'm not a millionaire. I bought a secondhand handbag. Usually I'm not very fond of buying secondhand things, but it's been very well taken care of, a lot more reasonably priced and it's no less gorgeous than a brand new one would have been. I would never dish out the amount of money required for a brand new designer handbag, so when I stumbled across this one I decided to ..adopt it, and give it a good home. It's the smallest one in the Gaucho series, and it's just perfect. I can even wear it over my shoulder, despite of sitting in a wheelchair, and it fits so snugly under my arm. Of course I did my homework before buying it. I checked every little telltale detail to be sure it was authentic, and then checked again.. and again. I also received the original receipt from the Christian Dior Boutique where it was bought, the maintenance guide and its card of authenticity - in addition to the white cotton dust bag with gray lettering.

Mischa Barton: Christian Dior Gaucho

To be honest I've never fully understood the fascination for designers and their highly priced pieces, and didn't even visit any of the many designer stores in Paris last summer. Now I've seem to have found my own little designer treasure, and suddenly I've joined the club. Oh well. The Dior Gaucho was the IT bag of spring 2006 according to US Magazine, and Mischa Barton's bag is the exact same size and color as mine - although mine has its Dior charms attached.

Proper courtesy would be to credit the rightful owner of this photo showing Mischa Barton with her gorgeous Christian Dior Gaucho Saddle Bag, but unfortunately I was unable to find any source. Should you happen to be the owner, or know who the owner is, please leave me a comment or an e-mail.
