Interviewed

I think yesterday took it's toll on me, because I've been completely exhausted all day. I had a hard time getting out of bed, which was kinda problematic as I had an interview scheduled for 11:00 AM today. Obviously that didn't work out, but luckily the journalist - a very nice woman - was extremely understanding, and postponed the interview for several hours. At 17:30 PM we finally met up, and she did a piece on me and my blog for a Norwegian journal. I'm not going to say much more about it quite yet, but I think it's exciting! I've actually done an interview because of my blogging - how cool isn't that? I must admit to feeling a tad important right now.

Thursday was such a nice day with a temperature of 13'C, and delightful sunshine all day! I was supposed to participate in a meeting regarding ULOBA in Trondheim, but I never made it. We took the bus to Munkegata, but when we got to the connecting bus I was unable to get on - why can't all buses be without stairs? We were told that there was another bus which I would be able to enter with my wheelchair, but it would take about an hour - and that would make us arrive 45-60 minutes after the meeting had started. We called on a taxi, but after realizing it would cost us about 1000,- NOK, we changed out minds and went to Trondheim Torg instead. No use in throwing away a perfectly good day, huh?

I don't really like going to Trondheim Torg when I'm broke, as I'm not really big on window-shopping, but I'm lucky enough to have a very sweet boyfriend. He bought me a new shower gel from The Body Shop, my favorite soap of all time. Some of them smell so great I'm tempted to drink them! This time I chose "Sweet Lemon", one of their new scents. It smelled delicious! I also picked up a new silicone cover for my iPhone, since my invisibleSHIELD™ decided to start peeling. It was great as long as it actually worked though. I did look for Maybelline® Dream Mousse products in several stores, but all I could find was their Dream Matte® Mousse Foundation, no concealers or blush.

GOSH Bohemian Gypsy & Modern GypsyI also went to VITA to check out the new collection from GOSH Cosmetics. Their two new quads called "Bohemian Gypsy" and "Modern Gypsy" looked so incredibly appealing to me, but it's been a long time since I've been that disappointed in a product. Sure, it looked nothing less than amazing, but the color payoff was horrible! I swatched the colors in the store, and some of them didn't even show up on my fingertips! They seemed hard, chunky and impossible to work with. Maybe there was something wrong with the testers, I don't know - all I know is that it's not worth wasting any money on. If anyone else have these quads and think they're awesome, please let me know. Since these are LE I might buy at least one of the quads just to check if it's really the testers or what, but I haven't decided yet. I've become spoiled by highly pigmented eyeshadows like the ones from M·A·C, Make Up For Ever and Urban Decay - so now I've turned into somewhat of a makeup snob. I'll keep you posted on what I decide, and if I end up getting one or both of these quads I'll put up some swatches for you.

Primer added to my stash

The last three days have been tiresome as I've been waking up with an aching neck which later evolved into a headache. I hate days like these, but they're all too familiar to me. Silly as it may sound it really helps having Theo around, I find it really difficult to resist smiling when he shoves his nose into my ear and demands to be cuddled with. As a result of the pain I haven't been up to much lately, apart from sitting online on Facebook playing these idiotic little games like Happy Pets and Farmville, and organizing a little. I haven't gotten around to starting on my palettes yet, but soon.

My computer desk was starting getting clogged up with all kinds of makeup which I'm planning try out and possibly write a review about, so I decided to hijack the small desktop "dresser" Øyvind was going to use for important papers, letters and bills. It's from IKEA and has three drawers big enough to fit an A4 sheet of paper. A perfect little "dresser" to keep the makeup I use most frequently close at hand, and organized at the same time. At least my computer desk is a lot more tidy now, and I know exactly where my things are when I need them. I spent some time looking for my M·A·C Mineralized Skinfinish in Medium until I remembered that I actually never bought it myself, and that mine was Medium Dark - which I already had in my hand.

I've also finally gotten around to getting my hands on a primer, a face or foundation primer, and this time I went for a product from GOSH. It's called Velvet Touch Foundation Primer, and it looks very promising. Now I just need my body to shape up a bit, and my eagerness and enthusiasm to return, so I can start playing with my "toys" again. I had a go with my Make Up For Ever HD Foundation the other day, but I didn't like it at all. I'm possibly the only human being on Earth disliking this foundation. Mine is in the color 120 "Soft Sands", and it's a good match for my winter skin tone - during summer I'd have to go darker. Now, I didn't use any primer when I tried this foundation, so I'm going to give it one more chance with a primer underneath to see if there's any difference at all. There's a good chance that I'll have to ship it off to England for Ingrid instead, there's no use in throwing it away - or leaving it unused in a drawer somewhere.

I'll get back to you with my final verdict!

GOSH Light’n Shine Lip Glaze

GOSH Velvet Touch Eyeliner

Smile
