Mr. Postman is back on track!

I almost didn't believe my ears when Øyvind told me that Mr. Postman had left a package for me today. It was from one of my all-time favorite sellers on eBay, containing some items from M·A·C Spring Colour Forecast and Give Me Liberty of London. I got "Shell Pearl" (pale peach with gold pearl) beauty powder, "Ever Hip" (creamy light coral) and "Bubblegum" (light lavender pink) lipsticks, "Lavender Wind" (lavender with pearl) and "A Different Groove" (deep purple brown with pearl) lipglass. I didn't order that last one, but it had somehow been mistaken as "Perennial High Style" - everyone can make mistakes and I'm quite sure the seller will fix this for me. I bought these items on April 21st, and got an e-mail telling me that they had been shipped on April 22nd.

While I was writing this I actually got an e-mail from the seller, and everything has been taken care of. I'll get my "Perennial High Style" as promised. One of eBay's finest indeed!

Last Tuesday I wrote about my long awaited shipment from Anastasia Beverly Hills, which arrived looking like someone had chewed it up and spit it out. I e-mailed customer service to inform them of the damage (with pictures), and they were kind enough to send me a replacement. It was shipped by DHL on April 21st, and I was told that it should reach me within a week. Only five working days later (April 26th), Mr. DHL rang to deliver a brand new, flawless 6-Element Essential Brow Set. Amazing! And a huge thanks to Anastasia Beverly Hills for replacing the brow set.

Don't you just love it when everything runs smoothly? Grin

Corals, Corals, Corals

One of the latest collections from M·A·C was Give Me Liberty of London (launced in the US on March 11th, in Norway on April 15th), a collection I initially didn't think much of. None of the colors were unique to me, and I hated the packaging. Yes, I know most of the fans out there love the packaging, but I'm sorry to say I'm not one of them. I guess the collection kinda grew on me, because in some mysterious way I ended up with getting several of the items, as I talked about here.

Corals are supposed to be one of the "it"-colors this summer, and after seeing a lot of swatches of the gorgeous lipstick "Ever Hip" (creamy light coral) it climbed the list of must-haves for me. I then saw a YouTube video by whatstyleistonickel where he was talking about the matching lip glass, "Perennial High Style" (creamy bright pink coral), and I knew I had to get my paws on those two. Since the lipstick is long gone both in the US and here in Norway - that's what happens when you're slow, like me - I had only one option left, eBay. Thankfully I have a few friends on there who's not out to flay me, so I managed to get my hands on both plus the beauty powder in "Shell Pearl" (pale peach with gold pearl). Usually I'm not that interested in the beauty powders, but the compacts are easily used for other powders, like your favorite MSF (mineralized skinfinish), and we do like reusable packaging! They're all quite unique, not to mention handy with the mirror inside the lid.

A few days ago M·A·C launched another collection in the US called Prêt-à-Papier, another collection featuring several coral products. I'm drooling over the two lipsticks in "Dressmaker, Dressmaker" and "Made to Order", a matching lipglass in "Fold & Tuck", the brand new Paint Pot in "Coral Crepe" and the powder blush in "Instant Chic". Three of these items were used in the promo image of this collection, and I'm intrigued. When did I get so into corals? Apart from these items I'm not very interested in anything else from the collection. M·A·C launched a new product called Chromagraphic Pencil with it, which is to be used for "outlining, defining and drawing". It comes in two colors, NC15/NW20 and NW25/NC30, but I'm not sure what I would use it for. None of the eyeshadows called to me either, apart from maybe "Cut to Fit" (frosted red bronze) and "Memorabilia" (matte dirty purple), the latter being a re-promote from an earlier collection.

I'm still saving money for Paris, but I needed to get a few LE items while they were still available. If you're not a makeup fanatic I'm sure you're shaking your head while reading this, but the rest of you know exactly what I'm talking about, right? Let me just say that my wishlist contained a lot more items than these three, but I keep visualizing the enormous Sephora on Champs-Elysées to keep myself from going bananas online before July!

Do you find any of these collections intriguing?
