“I put a spell on you, ’cause you’re mine”

Bedre sent enn aldri, her kommer innlegget.

You know, if you don't have anything to write about then go ahead and do something about it. You might remember one of my last haul posts? I did some damage over at Make Up Store when their newest collection Spellbound was launched. I wasn't able to pick up everything I wanted, so just as I predicted I went back to pick up a few more items.

«Spellbinding», the purple eyeshadow that hadn't arrived yet when I attended the member's evening, and the magical purple lipstick «Magic Spell» was on top of my list, but I also had a few more things on there. Gorgeous purpleness! Sanna over at Purity Beauty has some swatches of the three shades from Spellbound, and you can enjoy them here.

No trip to Make Up Store is complete without picking up another pencil, or three. Seriously. This time I purchased another lip pencil, «Sandstorm», which Maria used as a base for my eyeshadow when she did my makeover. We all know how much I appreciated the makeup lesson, so I figured it was about time to add the pencil to my collection. It's a matt flesh-toned color that blends perfectly into my skin tone, and I'm planning on using it as an eyeshadow base, as well as an actual lip pencil.

They also have a member's offer as we speak, where you buy an Eyedust (135 NOK) and a Blend & Fix (145 NOK), and get a 117 White Blending for free. Quite a nice offer actually, the brush itself costs 245 NOK or about $43, and even though I haven't tried it out yet I'm sure it's going to become a favorite! I picked out «Wisteria» Eyedust, a gorgeous taupeish neutral with recommended by the darling Maria, thinking that the Blend & Fix might give me the much needed kick in the butt needed to start wearing loose shadows. Forever an optimist, you know!

I've been contemplating getting one of Make Up Store's palettes, but the steep price tag (245 NOK) has kept me from it this far. Now, I've been thinking about getting a palette for travel, to keep these precious little black boxes together instead of having lots of individual boxes to worry about. The palette has room for eight boxes, which are popped straight into the palette. Totally free of hassle. So when I saw it sitting there on the counter, all golden and shiny, I broke down and got one. An awesome thing about this palette is that you can fit all kinds of products in it, from blush and eyeshadow to concealer and brow powder, because the boxes are all the same size. Unfortunately this palette has a cheap feel to it, and I wish it had been made from sturdier plastic and maybe magnets to keep the individual boxes at bay. Oh well, one can't have everything, and I know it'll come in handy.

I also wanted the new microshadow in «Pearl Mystic», but I ended up leaving it behind. It felt a little too bright for fall, even though it was breathtaking when blended into «Varieté». Another time, for sure. I wish I could spend all my free time in the store, playing with all their products and talking with Maria, it just makes my day!

Grin

  4. Omg that purple eyeshadow looks amazing * drool*

    • It’s gorgeous, but very dark and on my skin it’s not an obvious purple. It’s excellent for a smoky eye, or on its own if you like a dark look. Smile If you want anything from Make Up Store I’m happy to purchase and ship it to you, just let me know!
