New hair, new Shamini?

Guess what I've been up to? Well, if you're either Pinchy, Fieran, Amira or Malin, or a friend of mine on Facebook, you'll know that I've cut my hair. Finally! I've been wanting to do it for so long, but I've always thought I look more adult with long hair, so I've kept it that way for several years. I felt the desperate need of a change, so I decided to just.. go for a short, asymmetrical and kinda rocked look. I just love how my tattoo (the one I have on my neck) and piercings are showing! And the undercut is fabulous.

This picture is taken today, a few days after the haircut, and I'm wearing Inglot for the first time since I bought my two palettes. I'm not as gloomy as I look, I promise. I feel so silly when I'm forced to smile for the photographer.

The only problem now is that I'm in a sudden need of a straightening iron, something I've scoffed at earlier - why the heck would I need something like that? - but I've come to realize that it would be very much handy to own one with this new hairdo. Since my hair is now parted much more to the right than usual, my bangs are completely disagreeing with me and would really prefer to just.. stand straight upwards. Silly bangs!

Oh, and before you ask: I had no problems whatsoever saying buh-bye to my long hair, and I don't regret my decision at all. Now I'm ready for summer! Grin

  1. Yay – looking very good my friend. Btw, my hairstylist tried to change my hair parting but failed miserably. It seems you have to comb your hair when it’s wet and quickly iron/blow dry it at that angle.

    • Thank you, my dear! Yes, the trick is to use lots of water and a blow dryer in my case as well, but it takes several weeks before my bangs actually stay in place by themselves. 15 minutes after having fixed it, it just magically pops out of place and acts completely unruly. This time I’ve been using a hair-clip during the night, and while blow drying it to prevent it from going all over the place, and it seems to work a lot better for me. I’ll have to get my hands on that straightening iron, and see if that’s the way to go with my stubborn bangs. I love the way my hair is parted now, and I want it to stay that way! Grin

  2. Hey, u beautiful woman!
I actually think you look much more adult with your hair short.
I then mean young adult, if you know what I mean! Cool hearcut..

  3. Ahh, jeg liker det bare bedre og bedre! <3

  4. Det ble utrolig stilig. Passer deg kjempegodt! Grin Elsker brynene dine, også.

Om du kjøper rettetang anbefaler jeg REDKEN SMOOTH DOWN HEAT GLIDE LEAVE-IN SERUM.

Wink

  5. Såå flott. Du kler det kjempegodt, virkelig fin Smile Klem`s.

  6. You are so beautiful Smile
Ive had short hair, and I liked it… but now I love my long hair… I guess that when youve have had short hair for most of your life, you want long hair Smile Well at least I did Smile
    Take care hun

    • Aaw, you are so sweet! Thank you, dear. Smile I don’t like styling my hair, so that’s the main reason why I’ve preferred keeping it long. And the fact that I think I look childish with the short hair. Now that I’ve actually cut it, I kinda like it better and better each day, and it doesn’t need as much styling as I thought. I need a straightening iron for my bangs, but apart from that it behaves quite well as long as I remember to pin it down during the night. Smile

  7. Jeeeeeeey Grin It look so cool and beutiful. And i think you reall suite this hairstyle. You look mature, not in a bad way Smile

And, you skin looks very healthy and shiny.

Nice es color Smile me like Grin suites you!

    • Thank you so much for your sweet words, and I’m glad to see you’re still reading my blog. It means a lot to me. Oh, and I like mature! Wink I really liked the eyeshadow colors myself, Inglot really surprised me in a positive way. I now understand why xSparkage said that she would never use another brand again after discovering Inglot. Thank you! Smile

  8. I’m so happy to see you wearing makeup again, sweetie! And everyone is right, your new hair suits you so wonderfully Grin It gives off this air of ‘don’t mess with me’ that isn’t overdone – I love it! Smile
