SILENCE.. and nail polish!

I'm so sorry for being silent the last.. has it been 10 days already? The reason for this little vanishing act has partly been a long and very nice visit from my older brother, and then one of my older sisters decided to join us all for a couple of days, and partly because I haven't been feeling all that well. I mean, what else is new? Just to give you a little update on my current health status I've kinda figured out a few things, completely on my own, for instance what's been causing my rapid heart rate, making me feel bad and exhausted in general. Yesterday and today I've been feeling like crap due to a tremendous headache, which feels like an alien is about to sprout from the top of my head. I'm sorry for any images that might have caused you. Anyway, I've tested my theory for a few days now, and my heart rate has kept pretty much normal. Yay me!

It has been really awesome seeing my brother again. I think it's been six years since the last time I saw him. I know, way too long, but that's the way it is when you live at opposite parts of the world. I miss him a lot, he's by far the best big brother out there. We didn't really do anything much because of the bad shape I've been in, but it was nice just hanging around - and we have lots of good laughs while playing cards. My sister needed a bit of a vacation, and seemed to be having a good time while visiting us and our two little rascals. Believe me when I say it was all weird and empty here when they left last Friday.

OPI Shatter and Teenage DreamSo today was Valentine's Day. Who cares about Valentine's Day? I certainly don't, so now we have that out of the way. Moving on!

Lucky as I am Mr. Postman came by with a package for me, and that package totally made my day! It contained two O·P·I nail polishes in "Shatter" and "Teenage Dream" from the Katy Perry collaboration. If you want to see how they look, take a peek at this gorgeous manicure by the fabulous Neglelakkmani, who was also kind enough to get me these two beauties. You are such a sweetheart, thank you so much again!

  1. Åh, takk! Jeg er bare så superglad for å kunne hjelpe! <3

  2. You know, when I first saw these Cracker nailpolishes I thought that “naah, I think I will skip those”. They did not appeal to me at all, but as with most stuff, I am slowly being drawn towards them Wink
Im glad you are feeling a bit better and that your heart is beating normaly Smile
And as for valentines day… I dont think there is a need for a special day to tell the ones you love that you love them.. why dont make every day of the year valentines day Smile

    • Thank you for being so sweet to me, your comments always make me smile. Smile *big hug*

I completely agree on what you’re saying about Valentine’s Day, and for me it’s the same thing with Christmas. Why can’t you spend time with family and give each other surprises all year round? Does it have to be a certain holiday to show those around you some love? I’d rather have that all 365 days a year.

I didn’t think much for the crackle polishes myself at first, but then I realized it gives you a lot more possibilities with just a simple manicure. And seriously, a crackle polish makes the hassle with glitter polish completely worth it – and that’s coming from me! Grin I will be trying to get my hands on the China Glaze Crackle polishes when they are released for normal sale, or at least a couple of them. I’m loving the one that’s similar to For Audrey!

  3. I haven’t bought any nail polish in awhile. My nails are not as strong as they used to be – I’m going to blame that on Winter Smile So.. no nail polish for now. Perhaps once they grow back and start to look better, I’ll be hunting for some colours on eBay. Crackle is definitely not for me though, don’t want to scare anybody at work.

    • I see a difference in my own nails during winter, and that’s just another reason to loathe this time of year. I was planning on getting the China Glaze Crackle polishes, as I already mentioned, but after seeing swatches on the big nail polish blogs, I completely changed my mind. So.. money saved!

If you want stronger nails, you should look into taking capsules of Primrose oil. It works absolute wonders on both nails and hair, and you can see the difference in a few weeks. Smile
