Spring cleaning? No, fall hauling!

I've been out hauling again, with Sephora as my main target for my September splurge. I've done a little shopping here and there, so I've received a delicious-smelling package with products from Bath & Body Works - fall is here, and anti-bacterial soap and gel is always a good thing to have at hand. I accidentally came across a wonderful woman in Thailand selling gorgeous handmade rings in .925 Sterling Silver, so I had one made to fit my finger perfectly. It's a Chihuahua! A Chihuahua ring. I naturally had to own one. I absolutely adore it!

A few days ago M·A·C launched their Disney collaboration, and after a lot of back and forth I decided to take a stand and not buy a single item from it. The collection is called Venomous Villains, and could have been a fantastic collaboration. Unfortunately the packaging is really turning me off with its cheap and tacky look, not something I'd expect from M·A·C.

Clarisonic Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System
The main item I was out to invest in - and I say invest because of the price - was a Clarisonic Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System with the GoClear Clarifying Cleanser. The reason why I chose to order it from Sephora was because I wanted to get a few other items while I was at it. I decided for my Mia™ to be pink, simply because Clarisonic make a donation to help fund the fight against breast cancer every time a Pink Clarisonic is sold - to be honest I absolutely hate the color, but I like to do something good when I get the chance. Oh, and according to Sephora this Clarisonic Mia™ is a limited edition, although I can't figure out why.

Urban Decay The Black Palette
Urban Decay: The Black PaletteThe second item I wanted to get my hands on was The Black Palette, the newest palette from Urban Decay. It consists of six dark, dark colors which apparently make you look like a rock star. OK, maybe not, but I really liked the look of this palette and the value of having a variety of.. different blackened colors, if that makes any sense.

The six eyeshadows are Black Dog (richest matte black), Barracuda (black with silvery sparkly shift), Jet (black with purple sparkly shift), Sabbath (black with blue sparkly shift), Cobra (black with golden sparkly shift) and Libertine (black with emerald sparkly shift) - a travel size 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero and a mini Primer Potion in Eden, a color I haven't had the chance to try yet.

I know, yet another palette from Urban Decay, but at least this one has all new colors! Duplicates-Schmuplicates, we all know I need these palettes.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Rock For Ever Aqua Eyes
Some time ago Amira bought me a set (Aqua Eyes Collection 25 years) of these gorgeous Aqua Eyes pencils from MUFE, and when I saw that Sephora sold this limited edition consisting of five pencils in Gold 9L (metallic gold), Bronze 10L (metallic bronze), Dark Grey 21L (dark metallic grey), Mat Black 0L (black), Silver 8L (metallic silver) I just had to add it to my collection. I also figure these will work nicely in combination with the palette I mentioned above.

I will be back with more information on my purchases, and also a review of the Clarisonic Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System for those of you who might be interested. I've heard a lot of good stuff about these Clarisonic products, so I'm anxious to try it out. Several people have told me positive things about the Clarisonic Mia™ in specific, and I'm looking for an easy but thorough way of cleaning my face every day - this seems to be my solution.

Grin

  3. Lista mi har krympet voldsomt den også. Nå står jeg igjen med to øyenskygger, en/to glosser og et pigment.

Det ser jeg frem til, har ikke lest så mye om det enda. Håper formen din blir bedre etter hvert Smile

  4. The Clarisonic is really good – I use mine twice a day: in the morning i use the delicate brush, in the evening I use the sensitive brush. It’s gotten my pimples under control such that when I don’t use it for a day (sometimes I give my skin a break) it is less clean. It’s also made my pores a bit smaller (but I think this will get better over time) and my fine lines a little less harsh. Overall it’s an excellent product to have in your stash (removes makeup like nobody’s business, even after you have used an oil-based makeup remover).

  5. Renate:
Tusen takk, kjære du. Utrolig nok har ikke lysten min på Venomous Villains kommet tilbake, så jeg har fortsatt ikke gått til anskaffelse av noe. Jeg er egentlig ganske stolt av meg selv! Grin

Nice testimonial, and I’m anxious to see what it’ll do for my face. To be honest I’m not really into skincare. I have no routine, and I don’t own a lot of fancy products. I’ve actually been using a washcloth and lukewarm water for as long as I can remember.. but I wanted to see if the Clarisonic would be easier for me to use, and God knows I’m starting to get old (it might be time to start taking care of my skin).. Wink
