Close encounter with Lady Luck!

The past two Mondays I've participated in a contest on Facebook, where the grand prize was all of the eyeshadow palettes released by Sleek MakeUP, including the limited edition ones. Last Monday you had to suggest a new palette which you would like to see at Sleek MakeUP, and then the first ten to answer would win the complete collection, and the next ten would get to choose one palette for themselves. This Monday they posted a question on their wall, and the first ten to comment below would win the complete set, the next ten to reply would win one palette, and the next ten to reply would get a free shipping code for their next order with Sleek MakeUP.

I knew tried my luck last Monday, but I was way too late. I think my comment ended up somewhere below the thirties, and I was a little disappointed, I'll admit to that. Yesterday I sat ready once again, I had even set my iPhone to sound the alarm five minutes prior to the competition, and I logged in to answer the question. I refreshed, and refreshed again, and when the question hit the wall I typed as if I had the devil after me - and what do you know, my comment placed as number five, and I won the complete collection of palettes!

The palettes in the collection are: Original, Storm, Acid, Chaos, Sunset, Safari LE, Graphite LE, Jewels LE, Curious LE, and their latest LE palette Bohemian. Do I need to tell you that I'm stoked? I'm so excited I feel like jumping around in our living room!

Also, the last week or so has been divine! I'm not sure what's going on, but the planets, or whatever an astrologist might look for, seem to be perfectly aligned. The Universe might be feeling sorry for me, or maybe it has just realized that I need some good things to happen to brighten up my life a little. And it's been brightened indeed! So many things are happening at once, and I'm kinda overwhelmed by the positive energy currently surrounding me. I know they say that "good things come to good people" (implying that everyone with problems are therefore bad people), but I can't think of anything I've done to feel so happy and content as I am right now.

Just to briefly sum up what has happened;

Norges Kreative Fagskole (my school) agreed to let me change my subject for fall 2010, from graphic design to interaction design - making things so much easier for me when it comes to physical challenges. The Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration, or NAV, also agreed to it without causing any trouble - even though it was a long wait, it was well worth it.

• We have decided to make this summer unforgettable by travelling to Paris, France!

• We found, and bought, the perfect car - a used Chrysler Grand Voyager SE.

• We agreed to bet on the horses last Sunday since everything the last week had gone so well, and guess what.. we won 2320,- NOK - all seven horses won their races. Who would have thought?

• And finally.. I won the complete collection of eyeshadow palettes from Sleek MakeUP!

I'm sincerely hoping that Lady Luck will consider staying with me for a little longer. I love the feeling of being happy and enjoying life. Outside the snow is melting away, and the sun has graced us with a few more visits. Spring is approaching, and I'm continuously smiling, feeling excited about everything! It's not even bothering me that I've decided to stop shopping until our trip to Paris, I'm just looking forward to spending my money in France instead.

Life is great! Grin
