Everyday Minerals

Exactly a year ago I discovered Everyday Minerals, or EDM, a brand I quickly grew fond of. Sadly they have changed a bit since then, and you can no longer compose your own set of samples like you could before. You can still buy them, but now as pre-assembled sets - you just choose your complexion, or what kind of product you want. Too bad really, I liked being able to pick the colors I wanted to try out, instead of getting colors that I know won't fit my skin. Oh well.. nothing too good will last forever, right?

Up until today my absolute favorite foundation has been from EDM, the only thing I don't like is the fact that it's a loose powder. Why? Because I hate loose powders. "Buttered Tan" is a base for medium complexions with a peachy/yellow undertone, and has a matte finish. I even loved it so much that I bought a full-size jar after having used the sample I got for free a couple of times. I still love it, but I really wanted a pressed foundation. In the middle of December I ventured back to EDM, and found that they've added a pressed powder called "Buttered Tan". I'm not really sure if this is a foundation, or just a ..powder. I'm not really sure if I like the packaging, it comes in a rather cheap-looking white plastic compact, but I love the solution on the inside. It comes with a mirror inside the lid, a ..sponge-thing for application (I'd much rather use my kabuki brush), and the pressed powder is kept safe underneath a see-through plastic lid. Very cool indeed.

Everyday Minerals Brushes

When I ordered my very first package from Everyday Minerals I also included the Flat Top Brush, and I fell instantly in love with these heavenly soft brushes. So this time I decided to try some of their other brushes, and I got the Long Handled Kabuki, Eye Blending Brush, Everyday Smudge Brush, Dome Blending Eye Brush. I kinda wanted the Everyday Eye Shadow Brush and the Angled Brow and Liner Brush as well, but they seem to be out of stock every time I come looking. Anyway, these brushes never disappoint me! They are made of super soft cruelty-free fibers and they all have 100% renewable bamboo handles - what's better than that? Did I mention incredibly super soft? I just want to bring one to bed and cuddle with it all night long, that's how soft they are.

I'm not going to say anything about delivery time in this post, since we had the holidays in between the time I ordered and received my package, but I will mention that EDM included a Pearl Eyes eyeshadow for me in the color "Rock Anthem", which is a very suitable fuchsia-pink shade - and it's actually 2.5 grams. Very much appreciated EDM, thank you!

  1. I got the free purple eye shadow too. I love EDM and their brushes – I just wrote about it in my blog Smile

  2. You know, Helen, I don’t understand why you never hear anything about EDM? I mean, everyone has something to say about e.l.f. for instance, but you very rarely hear people talking (or rather blogging) about EDM. I’m a big fan, and I’m happy to recommend them to everyone I know. Smile
